Stability, if it’s worth having,
is both lost and regained.
You cannot survive if you cannot rebuild.
No paper thin security is worth envying.
The time will come,
when the curtain will rip down the middle and burn to a crisp at their feet.
Then they too will stand exposed to the elements and will realise how lonely it is to need reassurance.
They will long to know that the steps they are taking won’t buckle beneath them,
and they will lie in the gutter and scream at the sky.
But you will show them how to float, how to make themselves lighter so that the ground will take their weight,
for stability is useless if it is not malleable and
everything is subject to change.
